Keep your gun stored while maintaining simple access with the MiniVault Standard. This safe features a patented No-Eyes keypad so it can be opened quickly if needed. There are more than 12 million user-selectable codes available to choose from, so the likelihood of anyone accessing the safe with an identical code is virtually non-existent. The black gun safe is equipped with audio feedback to confirm the correct code along with a tamper indicator that notes invalid entry attempts. After repeated invalid entries, the built-in computer blocks access to keep your gun safe. This mini gun vault is impossible to pry open with hand tools. Its strength lock mechanism ensures you are the only one who has access to your firearm. It is a great choice for use in the home, business or wherever else guns need to be kept. This battery-powered safe is compact and portable.Mini 1000 Gun Vault Customer Reviews
Very sturdy and convenient gun storage
I read many reviews of the GunVault Mini before finally buying. It seemed every set of reviews were mostly positive (rated 4s or 5s), but also had several negative entries (1s or 2s). Most of the negative reviews centered around the failure of the buttons to open the safe after several months, or difficulty in programming the combination. Since I've only had the safe for a couple weeks, it's too early to tell if I'll experience problems with the buttons, but so far, it's working perfectly as advertised. I found I did need to pay close attention to the directions while programming the combo, but once I grasped the logic, it was a snap. (The 4 buttons have no values themselves. Rather, you need to assign your own values while selecting your personal combination sequence.)
I bought the deluxe model that included an AC adapter (the unit still requires 1 9V battery to work) and a dim but handy light that shines down from the roof of the inside of the safe for 5 seconds after opening, long enough to illuminate what you need to grab in a hurry. The foam padding on the inside of the safe isn't super cushioned, but is adequate to protect the finish of a firearm. The Mini is plenty big enough to hold my Glock 19 and 2 magazines with room to spare.
This unit lists for $169 on GunVault's website and at many retailers. I almost bought it at Cabela's on sale for $115 until I saw it on Walmart's site for $86.75.ShinyEagle
Seems like they perfected this model over the years. Bought it based on a friend having one for 5+ years, and loving it. Room for any "duty" size auto or revolver. The door has more than enough spring force to pop open in any mounting configuration, and when it does, there are two little rubber pads, so it's completely silent. Padding is throughout, and is actually thicker than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. I would recommend this product.Josh
Easy to use even in pitch dark conditions.Dlylem
This is my second GunVault safe. I purchased a different brand that was about $30. cheaper, but it didn't work. I sent it back and bought this one which is great. I'll stick to this brand from now on.SkullBones
Gun Vault Mini
This product by Gun Vault is exactly as described. Will provide very quick access but should keep weapons safe from children with the key pad. Just be sure to safely store the back up keys. Has many screw holes on the bottom of the safe to firmly mount it. Runs on 8 "AA" batteries, but those are supposed to last for one year. Only problem is you can only program in one combination, so if more than one adult needs access, you will have to agree on one combination that you both can remember instead of each of you having their own.Bob1096
Good little safe
We bought this to keep the gun away from our kids and slow down a potential thief. It seems built pretty sturdy and the combo keys work well. We've only owned it for a month now.jbenoit28
The safe is hard to mount. So I drilled hole through the side attached an eyebolt, added an aircraft cable with a lock, and attached the other end of the cable to my bed post. This will keep the safe in place.
You must PRACTICE opening the safe, a wrong movement with your fingers to access the safe can lock the safe up. Now you need the key to open it. This would be a disaster in an emergency.meeng
Combo lock didn't work
It had to go back immediately. We ended up purchasing a different one with a bio lock. The buttons felt a little awkward to me for the combo unit if you intended to use your smaller fingers as shown. May be more comfortable for a man. IDKRoseC
I am unable to program this gun safe.
This gun safe will meet my needs IF I can ever get my code entered. my wife and I have each spent nearly one hour trying to understand the instructions/Laidback2
I have to keep entering my code 2,3 sometimes 4 times before the door pops open. There's something wrong with the latch on the door. What good does that do me.eliz1064
